Well the weekend went by fast. It was a pretty good one at that. Worked all weekend, but I enjoy it for the most part. I'm off today and tomorrow. It's been raining here though, so don't really feel like getting out. Exspecially not going to take Bella out except to potty. Don't want her to get all muddy. I was going to give her a bath, but that would be pointless. You, see because we don't have a tub, we have 2 walk-in showers. So when I give her a bath I go down to my granny's to give her one. She lives down the yard from me. So she'd have to walk through the wet and muddy yard. So by the time we got back home she would be dirty again. Maybe tomorrow I guess. She doesn't really need a bath as far as cleanliness goes. But she has allergies bad and she scratches her paws with her teeth. Well that will cause a yeast infection, where they stay damp from scratching. So I wash her with an antibacterial shampoo.
Her allergies are another story all together. I took her to the vet a couple of months ago because I noticed that she had little bumps along her legs. We go to the vet at Banfield. For the most part I like it there. Because they have a plan for dogs. You pay about 18 dollars a month and you don't have to pay for your dog's shots or office visits when you go. Well this didn't save me any this time. Another bad thing about Banfield though is that where they have so many vets on staff you see a different one each time. So, anyway, I took her and the vet thought it might be mites. So she did a skin scraping and it was negative, but she still wanted to treat it for mites. So I h
ad to buy Revolution, which is a flea and heart worm preventative which also prevents and kills mites. Then I had to buy antibiotics, and special shampoo. Well after a month, nothing, didn't do anything. So went back a couple of weeks ago and the vet I saw this time thought it was her allergies. Which I agree. One because she's older than the first vet, so she obviously has more experience and two I liked her. She was like we can run test and try to figure out what she's allergic to. We ruled out her food, hadn't changed anything inside. So it's got to be something outside in the air or something. And the test will be expensive or we can give her an antihistamine shot and some antibiotics and benydryl. So I chose the latter option. I would love to know what it is she's allergic to but right now can't afford all the tests. Don't get me wrong I love my dog. You have no idea. She's like a kid to me. But can't afford to spend hundreds of dollars on tests for allergies that will be gone in a couple of months anyway.
Bella, let me tell you a little about her. My sister Molly and I got her from the JC animal shelter when she was 6 weeks old. It was love at first site. She's incredibly spoiled now. But anyway, the pound said she was a pitbull/chow/lab mix. Well she's brindle so she's definitely has some pit in her. The chow I don't think so. Lab maybe. I'm thinking bull terrier and lab. But anyway she's the most spoiled dog. She takes a while to warm up to you but once she does, she's your best friend. The only problem there is that she doesn't like anyone but her family. I mean she's okay with you as long as you don't mess with her. Like out in public she's shy so I usually don't let strangers pet her. Because she is very protective. Inside the house she doesn't like anyone being in her house other than us. My sister's boyfriend has been coming up to the house for months and she tolerates him but you can tell she doesn't like him being here. So Bella is a little aggresive. She's never been aggressive to us though. Except for when me and my sisters fight on occasion and she gets not really aggressive but she thinks we're hurting each other and she snaps at us to make us stop. Whenever anyone comes into the house that's scared of her though, it makes it worse. If you just ignore her barking she's fine.

Well, I was off today. Didn't get much done. Seems like the day flew by. Ofcourse that could have something to do with me sleeping in until 1:00. Actually I woke up at 11 and then fell back to sleep. I did hang out with my bestie Mary today though. We had a good time. Went and got some food and then went back to her place and watched a movie. We watched Harold and Kumar 2. It was pretty funny. Not as good as the first one, but then sequels never are, are they. Then we went to walmart, and stopped by her mom and dad's house. Then dropped her off at her house, and then back home. By the time I had gotten home it was dark. So I didn't get to walk Bella like I had wanted to do. But it's wet and nasty outside. I really hate to walk her when it's like that. Because of where we live we usually end up having to walk in the grass. And where she's sorta low to the ground she always ends up getting dirt on her. Anyway, came home and played with Bella. She has this little red ball that she loves. It lights up when ever you bounce it. I payed 13 dollars for that ball. It's no bigger in size than a baseball, but I swear it is the best investment. Bella is a chewer and she chews through everything I buy her. No matter how much the label guarantees that it's for strong chewers. She chews through it. But she's had this ball, it's called a powzer ball for almost 3 months now and while it has some marks on it from her teeth it's still whole and all intact. I can hardly believe it. Anyway I'm rambling and tired. So I'm gonna go to bed. Good night all.

So...
Here it is 1:30 and I've not done anything, at all today. I slept till 12, got up and ate lunch, and have been watching tv and surfing the net since. I had plans to take the dog for a walk, but then it started to rain. Which gave me an excuse not to..lol...I didn't really want to b/c I already took my shower and I would have to get all hot and sweaty and take another one, and I don't really have time for all that. Got to be at work at 2:45p. So anyway. Been a pretty useless day. Sitting here waiting on my pants to wash, so I can put them in the dryer, So I can leave by 20 after 2. Bella's laying on the couch. Oh after our adventure in the mountains yesterday. I found a tick on me. I started freaking out. Well not that bad, but I wanted to. So if you go into the mountains be sure you check yourself for ticks afterwards. Well gotta go get ready for work.

Okay..
Okay, well this is my second attempt at a blog. My last one i did I had two posts and quit. Kinda hard to blog when you have no followers though. But I don't care about that. Anyway, so I'm doing this for me I guess I don't expect to have many followers if any but thats ok. So my name is Billi. I live in East Tennessee. Erwin to be exact. Bella is my dog incase you're wondering.. She is a year old. We got her from the pound in Johnson City, TN. At the time they said she was pitt/lab/chow. But she really looks nothing like a chow. And she's very short. So I'm thinking bull terrier and lab mix. So anyway I guess this blog is for our adventures.
Yesterday, Bella and me went up ontop of Beauty Spot in my jeep. It was fun. We also went to Bumpus Cove and rode around up there. Went and visited the old grave yard up there. The Bumpus Cove graveyard. That's where my great grandfather and great grandmother are buried. Along with some of my papaw's brothers and sisters. He was from the Bumpus Cove area. When I was a kid he used to take me for rides up there. And he would point out places that he used to live when he was a kid. And where the old mine up there used to be. He worked there when he was a kid. As did his father and brothers. I didn't pay much attention to some of his stories when I was a kid. Now that I'm older and he is gone I wish that I had of. Anyway. I went up there to try and remember some of the places he used to take me. It was fun. And Bella enjoyed riding with the top down in the jeep. Then today we went up to no business in the jeep. And then went to chestoa park, to let Bella swim, which she wouldn't even step her foot in the water...lol....and now we're home fixing to eat dinner and play cards with the fam.
